Why become a faculty member

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with vision, expertise, and energy to support the Education and Professional Development (EPD) team in developing and delivering high quality courses that reach out to wide ranging audience including our international members. We welcome interest from senior trainees and new consultants who are looking to expand their educational experience as they will be supported by the senior faculty members within the team.
The course faculty collaborate with the Education and Learning Board (ELB), College Officers and EPD team to develop, deliver and review courses on a regular basis. Responsibilities include:
- contribute to developing training materials
- review courses based on evaluation and contribute to strategic overview of the courses
- attend the annual course evaluation meeting to assist in reviewing course effectiveness and content.

Knowledge, skills and experience required
- Active Âé¶¹´«Ã½ member
- Active in Clinical Practice
- Educational experience at undergraduate, postgraduate level
- Experience of a leadership or management role
- Well-organised
- Experience in supporting trainees, students and other health professionals
- IT literate, including for contributing to the editing of shared documents and confident use of remote meeting platforms
- In accordance with College policy, all candidates should be in Good Standing with the Âé¶¹´«Ã½.
Remuneration and reimbursement
- All Âé¶¹´«Ã½ faculty roles are non-remunerated and honorary.
- Officers are reimbursed for the cost of travelling expenses and subsistence to run College courses.
Support available to you
- You will be supported by the Senior Clinical leads for the individual courses and Education and Professional Development
- There will be a structured induction program with supported transition to an independent faculty- provided by senior faculty and EPD team
