Breakthrough T1D Advanced Postdoctoral Fellowships

The Advanced Postdoctoral Fellowship program is designed to attract qualified and promising health scientists, to provide an opportunity to receive full-time research training, and to assist these promising individuals in transitioning from a fellowship to an independent (faculty-level) position. Breakthrough T1D envisions the 3-year award term as a period in which fellows will receive critical research training that will position them to work at the leading edge of their chosen field.

Breakthrough T1D Postdoctoral Fellowships

Postdoctoral fellowships are designed to attract qualified, promising scientists entering their professional career in the T1D research field. The applicant is required to work with a sponsor who can provide a training environment conducive to beginning a career in type 1 diabetes relevant research. At the time of activating the award, the applicant must have a doctoral degree, or the equivalent from an accredited institution and must not be simultaneously serving an internship or residency.

Postdoctoral Award - Co-funding Partnership with NIHR/Breakthrough T1D

The NIHR Postdoctoral Award is aimed at anyone with a PhD or a submitted PhD thesis under assessment who has not yet been appointed to a professorial post. This award provides funding to help you develop your research career across a broad range of postdoctoral career stages.

Action Medical Research Training Fellowship in Child Health 2027

Applications are now invited for 2027 Research Training Fellowships from medical graduates, clinicians, bioengineers, research nurses, physiotherapists and allied health professionals who wish to train in research techniques and methodology applied to subjects relevant to the aims of the charity. The fund aims to support clinicians and bioengineers with high-quality projects of up to three years duration, providing a maximum of £300,000 per project (salary and consumables).
